Opening night was an amazing experience!
In spite of having to juggle the whole show without my partner in crime John Koprowski, I survived the night with the help of my glowing guest spotlight Lisa Viggiano, my wonderful music director Dan Furman and a room full of amazing talents! What a lucky gal I am!
The evening came out to be one of the most amazing shows I've seen lately! Everyone who performed brought something uniquely special to the stage; their love of music and their hearts! For that, I say THANK YOU!!
My first spotlight guest, Broadway World award winning best female vocalist Lisa Viggiano lit up the room with her warm, heartfelt performance, starting with "Spark of Creation" by Stephen Schwartz, followed by "You" written by the local, talented, award winning songwriter/ performer Tim Di Pasqua, ending with "There Will Never Be Another You" by Harry Warren. How appropriate!
Lisa is bringing back her show "THREE'S A CHARM", at Don't Tell Mama NYC on 7/28 & at Society Cabaret in San Francisco 8/19. Singer/Songwriter Tim Di Pasqua is on piano, arrangements, vocals and leading the band (in fact the show is named after one of Timmy's original songs!), Matt Scharfglass is on bass, and Kenji Tajima is on cajon. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend checking it out!
Our featured music director Dan Furman have coming up over the next few months, shows with singers Martin McQuade, Lynn Kearney and Sonja Stuart, Scot Albertson, and Arturo Padilla. The Dan Furman Jazz Duo will be appearing at Cleopatra’s Needle on July 6 and September 14. Definitely mark your calendars!
