Hello and Happy New Year to everyone!
I am sorry for the delay in posting for this upcoming Spotlight On You for January!
As most of you probably have heard, on December 15th, right before the last open mic, the cabaret world lost a wonderful supporter and I lost a very dear friend, my partner for this open mic, John Koprowski.
I apologize for not posting my usual run down of the evening as it was a difficult evening.
I want to start by emphasizing and thanking the wonder support from our featured performer and musical director of the evening Deb Berman and Gregory Toroian on the evening of the December Spotlight On YOU Open mic!
Deb and Gregory helped me tremendously in taking over a lot of the hosting of the evening as I was in incapacitated by the news.
All the performers who came in spite of the terrible weather conditions, I want to thank you all for your support of Spotlight On YOU Open mic! You all were wonderful that night and helped me in the best way to get through the evening! You are my SPOTLIGHTS individually!
At this moment, I want to add that SPOTLIGHT ON YOU OPEN MIC will go on. THIS is a part of John Koprowski's legacy. John and I conceived and created this open mic together and I will keep him alive through what he loved, supporting and promoting our fellow performers through SPOTLIGHT ON YOU!
